Super Jet Fuel Delivery Issue?

Went riding yesterday and everything was running fine. About halfway through the tank of gas my ski started hesitating when I hit the throttle. A few minutes later it just died when I pinned it. Checked the in-line fuel filters and they were good. Checked out the needle, seat, jets and filter in the carb, all clean.

Ski will run from 0-1/2 throttle then dies past that. Checked the plugs and they were pretty nasty so I'm going to get new ones today and hopefully that will solve the problem. No visible plugs in the fuel lines. Could anything else cause the problem? Is this typical of what happens when the plugs are fouled?

Replaced the check valve on the tank and filled up with fresh gas. Everything ran fine until I got back down to 1/2 tank. At this point I'm thinking the fuel selector switch could be bad. Any other ideas?

Are the plugs gumming up again, that shouldn't happen while out riding. it it is then I would say you are running too oil rich or just too rich in general. Plugs should be clean when out riding.

Pulled the plugs and they're clean. I thought it might be a crack in one of my fuel pickups but I had the same problem running "on" and "reserve". I'm thinking bypassing the fuel selector switch then bypassing my primer in case that has gone bad to see if it makes a difference.

any updates on this? what fixed it? or is it fixed? im having the same issue but its only sometimes. its so hit and miss but was curious what you found. ive tried everything on this discussion but havent really looked into much more. may help others in the future also. thanks

I replaced the check valve and ran direct from carb to reserve. This seems to have solved the issue. I've put 4-5 tanks of gas through since then and run well below half with no issues.
