Front Sponson placement help..

Picked up some Pro Watercraft Racing urethane front sponsons. I watched the installation video which shows a Hydrospace. The sponson position on the Hydrospace and SXR is 36" from the rear of the hull to the back end of the sponson. On my SN this seems to far forward. Any advice or insight would be helpful

Hagest recommends 35" from the back but I would go more fwd, maybe 35.5 or 36. As low as possible in the front and as high as possible in the back is what is recommended. You want a slight step from the bottom hull to the sponson

I installed mine at 35" and i was told by a pro rider they could have been more fwd. I can get you pics of them installed if you want.

Thank you King Kang and Vortex for your input and advice. King Kang advised to remove the B pipe chamber and fuel tank prior to the sponson install, a must do to avoid drilling into the chamber and fuel tank. "Measure 5 times and drill once" a wise man once said

Kang is my brother lol...yes I should have mentioned pulling the chamber. Use a dremel cutoff wheel to cut the screws flush. Also don't use 11/32 bit as they say in the install video, this is a bit large for the screws to bite.
