Im looking at replacing my stock hood with a freestyle hood. I was looking at the wamiltons 8 hand hole hoodis this a good choice?? What do you guys recommend for hoods that wont let water in my engine compartment like the stock one does. Im also in the process of learning rolls so im going to need something thats going to hold up :woot:
thanks russ

That is a great hood, Wish I still had mine, changed to a Blowsion JK Hood, then to a 2 hole Wammer after that.......... running an older style Wammer now......

as far as freestyle hoods go (Hood tricks) the Wamiltons hood is the one that set the standard.

How old is your hood, it is one of the older designs isn't it? The one I have now was cracked when I got it from Royalflush(on of Pat Bogarts old hulls, wammer painted) had to do some gluing...... the wammer hood I had on my other hull got a crack in the liner from dropping it, liner seperated. Just glued it back, never had any issues with it after that.

im also looking for a hood that you can climb on easily thats why iwas looking at the wammer hood. it has 8 holes so you can climb it like a ladder, but what about all these cracking issues with it??,

Both my hood and 2nd nature's hoods or the 2nd generation hoods, 3rd generation hoods been out since 2003 with no changes except Wamilton took the 8 hole liner design and started making the 2 hole hoods again.....

the 2 hold hood will let you climb up just fine.

depending on how bad you need or want one you might want to wait and see what trinity comes up with, but i have no clue when those will be out.

But for the price i love my waterdawg hood and ive been beatin on it good
