Well, I went to Pickwick Lake yesterday and today for some quality H20 time and to get things started off right, my SuperJet doesn't start in the garage, it just clicks at the starter relay. I quick swap out batteries and nothing.

I steal the relay from the rebuild ski, install, and again, nothing . . . except a little smoke coming from my starter. :arms:

So I go with just the SXR and have a great time. Everyone was there from the kid on the WRIII, to the fat guy on the XP, to the eleven-year old girls riding two on a Honda.

Sometimes they would go side to side, then turn around really fast.

Sometimes they woud go really fast in a straight line.

Or sometimes they would just go straight for a little then turn around really fast.

It was pure old school couch freestyle action.

I learned a few things:

1. Even though she gave birth a month ago, my wife is unable to stand the pressure of simply watching people ride all day and not get on the Kawi for a while. I'm sure lake water isn't good for healing taint but time will tell on that one I guess. She breastfeeds, she carves, I couldn't be more proud.

2. The TBM ride plate is the final word in SXR rideplates.

So where's the easiest place to get a new SJ starter?

All I know is you apparently want to go for nothing less than an OEM starter. Or get a rebuild kit.
But where....?

If you feel like getting treated like an ass, I suggest calling jetskimechanic. :Banane01: (J/k!!! I have had nothing but good xp with him!)

Just rebuild it you can buy new brush plates and sand the armature down, just make sure you clean out the grooves well so each one does not touch the next one

Alright Canada, I'm on it.

Barbara has the new TBM plate on her SXR and u r right-that is the end all of ride plates-good thing we are friends-got the best of both worlds-her ski for carving turns and mine for freestyle. Don't know wut all u got-but-she has the TBM super pump cone, TBM grate, TBM plate and a Solas 13/21 I think set back 5mm-her ski is absolutely awesome-stupid mid range pull and goes along way on top end w/a wet pipe-she has got that bad boy spot on for racing.
