Surfriding Freeride Event in Southern California

If bodies is what we're needing for approval, then i can invite some bands that bring a big crowd. We can show big numbers that way. But we will need a generator and a stage.

Dates are not set. I will take anything that a city offers from the mid september to mid october range. This thread is just to judge how many competitors, spectators, etc would show up. Details in regards to exact location, dates, and fees will be posted as soon as the event gets cleared for a permit. (Which hopefully will be within the next 30-40 days)

I was speaking of permits to ride in a specific spot whenever you wanted to ride. As far as I know its only been done once by a guy in Imperial Beach near the border. I've written (not emailed) up proposals to city of Newport/Huntington/San Diego/Huntington US Open and even had a meeting with the Newport Beach mayor, trying to get the river mouth. If this is for a 1 time a year event, Wes has got it covered, good luck.

The event in Oceanside received so many complaints from the locals even for a 2 day event weekend for the year, that is has been permanently shut down. I wish it was still up! Would have been the perfect venue!
