Freestyle Found a ski, but not sure it will work for freestyle...

Seems like it is modded more for racing than for freestyle. I do not plan to race and am limited to lakes to play around it. Should I give this one a pass? I am afraid it won't have the low end hit to play around on the lake.

Should have plenty of low end power. A racer friend of mine has a similer setup and if he just pulled the hull extensions and 50 pounds of ballast out of it it would make a perfect freeride ski. Depending what your looking to do a impeller for more low end and footholds would make it a awsome ski in my opinion. Race ski's have power everywhere!

A good race engine hits hard everywhere.
The R-Pot hood is pretty lightweight, you just need to work on the air intakes a little bit.
I don't really see anything wrong with that ski for a freestyle platform with a little bit of work.

That's deftons56's ski, or at least he has it posted up over on the NW section at PWCT. Crab has riden with him, he might know something about it or give you an opinion.

Harbor Dan rides with one of those hoods, un-modified I believe, but ocean riding, not freestyle. He's not exacly easy on it, but you might want to hit him up and see how its holding up for him.

Thanks for the heads up..i did see that one before but I am just getting into the sport more or less..and not super handy with fiberglass etc. Really want to find my ski turnkey and ready to ride. I don't want to have to put in the footwells.

Looks like I just sold my hayabusa to a guy in vancouver tho....so i may be over there anyways to deliver it. Might work out...we will see. Thanks again for the info guys and ill pm ya when im up and running 509.

On a side note..know anyone with a single jetski trailer they would sell cheap..the one over in seattle doesnt come with a trailer.
