I bought this thing about 2 years ago for $300. It was a basket case. It came with an aluminum pole, aftermarket bars, a skat prop, and a service manual. The motor was in a million pieces, and was trashed. the wear ring was swollen and the pump wouldn't turn.

Thanks to this and a few other forums, as well as ebay, I managed to buy the needed parts and sell of the old stuff to offset the cost. I scored engine mounts for $6, a complete, pristine motor with electronics for $200, Turf for $50 a pump for a trade with some polaris parts and a few other smokin deals.

All told, I have less than $1000 in this thing. It's not completely done yet, but rideable. Just need to paint the hood and get some reg #'s on it.

It has:

Skat prop tweaked by island racing
westcoast manifold
44 sbn
k&n
bilge with a killer start/stop bilge switch
diamond turf sides with regular turf in the tray with an underpad
primer
aluminum pole with 2 springs
odi grips
umi throttle
HT chinpad
custom paint
mariner ride plate
jetlyne grate
stock comp/exhaust/electronics

I am keeping it fairly stock for now because I have yet to ride a stand up. I need to run it and tweak the carb too. Anyone have any jetting ideas?

I learned most of what I needed to know by searching the forums and wasting alot of hours at work reading:biggrin:

What do you think?

$1000 is not bad considering all that it has on it. I like that green.

Actually much less than a g. I havn't done all the accounting yet, but the only out of pocket cash was 300 for the ski and 220 for the paint and supplies. Selling the old parts covered everything else, and I still have a lot left to sell. Like a complete electrical system:biggrin:

Funny you mention the green. I was originally going to try to make the front of the ski a middle finger with the pole being the raised finger, but couldn't figure out how to do it so it didn't look like a giant fallis(sp) bouncing down the lake:bigeyes: So I settled on a heineken/ mt. dew green. probably end up with some kind of graphics. . . eventually
