Defending World Champion Julie Bulteau was again the fastest woman today, grabbing the first pole position of the 2012 season. She turned the fastest lap in time of 1:29.12, which was just over a second faster than second placed Irina Babenko, the newcomer to the championship. Pija Sumer was third. Julie Bulteau also recorded the highest average speed of 80.79 km/h (50.2 mph).
In Ski F1 class, another defending champion captured the pole, Jeremy Poret, whose best lap was over 4 seconds faster than that of a second placed Emanuele Balzer and third Ludovic Caumont.
In Runabout F1 class, pole position went to Francois Medori, second starting position to Cyrille Lemoine and third to Jeremy Perez.
First moto for all classes is tomorrow.
