How many people like the new dull finish on RRP's new pole tubes? I got my last set 6 months ago and find that they scratch easier, get and stay dirtier easier and quite frankly look like :):):):) compared to the old ones.

Am i alone in this? If we all speak up don't they have to change something? I say let's start a poll and let the results speak for themselves.

I offered a third poll choice of "optional colors" that you may also select if you would like to see color options offered as well.

So just pull them off and polish them up. They should just be media blasted.

Thats what my pole started looking like when i finished building it... Hell i didnt even spend the time to use real polishing compounds, i just used car wax and it came out shinier than your picture.

Shiner than the one on the left that has over a year of riding on it without ever being touched or the one on the right that is mere months old just sitting in the garage?

I am fully aware of all the different options I have to improve upon someone elses product, and have ongoing threads more apropriate for that topic. My point here and now is that they changed their product, charge the same price and we as customers are not happy with the change.

BTW, How do your tubes stand up to salt water now that it has the annodizing polished off?

Actually, they held up fine in the salt, a coat of wax will do the same as annodizing. =]

Figured you were talking about fixing what you had... not buying a 3rd.

This is really funny actually... When I first bought my RRP from Brian at Thrust, I asked him about this and he told me that they all come like this and that he was unaware of the "shiny" ones! IN2 H20 made me realize that there is two different ones! I prefer the shiny ones but I think mine are probably a bit in between your shiny and dull finished one. I don't know... I wish I could change them out for the shiny ones but that would be a pain in the a$$ I feel!

So the word out on the street is to use a compound wax to shine them right up????

That would be great, easy and convenient!

Thanks

Grab your pitch forks and torches lets storm the factory !

Man, I didn't come off fanatical did I? I was just aiming for slightly annoyed :banghead:

Tem, the set I'm talkin about is the set I bought off you. At first I thought they were either an off grade product or from a different run until I started seeing more popping up. When I contacted Brian at Thrust to buy new ones, all his were the same?

I was browsing some build pics this morning and noticed those dull tubes on a shiny new ski and shook my head. If i was building a new big budget ski Titan Products would look real good to me. Oh wait...I am building a new big budget ski... :dunno:

Good to know, I worry about corrosion, long term not just year to year.

Figured you were talking about fixing what you had... not buying a 3rd.

It's more about making a company aware that a change isn't being received well. If it's never said, it's never heard and it's never dealt with.

Yea, I agree with you though 110%.... I must say I am rather disappointed with the finish! Sorry, I am just one of those people who like "blingy" / clean things(whether it is my car, garage, ski etc...) I was expecting shiny and I got THIS! Not that I am disappointed with the product by any means.... just confused about why they come in different finishes if there is never an option in what finish you prefer when buying it.
It one of those things.... YOU GET WHAT YOU GET! (I guess)

I dig the gloss finish on the RRP poles! I just ordered 2 sets of stuff, and it's all getting powder coated gloss white and black!

(I also make a graphic wrap for the RRP pole tubes if anyone is interested in doing different colors, pm me.)

I thought they were all dull untill you said they had made up some bright ano ones, the two that Rick sent were the first I had ever seen in person (dull finnish). But I still think that storming the factory just makes sense.

So are the bright anno tubes the real anomolly here and not the dull tubes?

If we storm the factory with torches and pitchforks somebody better bring a wheelborrow so we can cart off a bunch of product in true mob form.
