Failed Fountain

Went for the fountain on my SJ and failed miserably. I never thought of a fountain was such a dangerours maneuver. The ski plunged under the surface, bars slipped out of my hands, my crotched pinned up against the throttle, and the handle bars went to work on my junk. I thought I left my nutsack on the bars after it was all done. Here's what it did to my boardshorts. My entire crotch area was bruised and battered. The next day.

lol, i kinda ashamed to say it but i had my ass kicked doing a fountain before in much the same way. I'm not really sure what all caught on the throttle but i got what felt like (but probably wasn't) a full throttle blast of jet pump to my nuts when my knee/toe hit it. either way, it hurt like 8 b1tches on a b1tch boat and i felt like a tool. on the plus side my shorts survived.

I've done something similar but didn't rip my shorts. Got bruised pretty bad though. I got dragged under pretty far once too. Lanyard got pinned against the throttle when it went under and dragged me down. Thankfully it wasn't too deep and hit bottom and the ski died. Something to be mindful of when you position yourself on the nose though...

After I do a fountain, I pin the throttle let the ski shoot under me and behind me and as it comes up i turn around a climb back on. Cool trick, but watch your junk...lol

Good buddy of mine did this on a 650sx, fuel door opened ss bracket ripped into his upper thigh, 35 stiches. Chummin for sharks.
Another member on here ruined his big bore, motor compartment on his fx1 filled at full throttle, hydro locked, bent rod, destroyed cylinder. Beware the fountain Dangerous Trick.

Wet suit needed for Jetsking. IMO. Not always for warmth, but for body armor. It is a thick, tough layer of skin. I won't ride with out one.

That's pretty much my view, too. Even in the heat of summer, I like wearing my thin Matrix suit.

I wear soccer thin plastic shin pads, but no wetsuit after it gets hot. Hard to wear when it's 100.

i do a bunny hop type deal from my tray to the nose... its the easyest trick in my book must be cause i weigh 240lbs
