Exhaust in the pump cavity? Any thoughts

Has anyone ever dumped the exhaust into the pump cavity? I am going to exit it about 13 to 15 inches from the rear of the ski but don't know if I should do rear side which if not placed right still gets air into the pump. Or into the pump cavity? I don't want ANY air in the pump. I like monkeyjumps and tail stands but don't want the loud front exhaust. Well I might if there isn't another solution.

Any ideas?

I was thinking about trying it on my next build, but only because I think it would be quieter than any other location.

i have thought about doing it!! when i built my kawidoo i was going to do but never got around to it!!! my seadoo gsx donner ski had the exhuaste in the pump cavity

One good thing about it, your pump will be well lubed. At least on one side.

Dual exhaust doesn't have to be loud.
A stock RN box and an extra pisser right at the front exit makes for a quiet ride.

It is still not as quiet as stock rear exhaust. I have had 3 skis with front exhaust everything from stock with lots of water to SUPER dry with a TDR box. The rear would be my preference.

I want to do the pump cavity but don't want to have to cut the tray out after about 2 weeks because of the exhaust in the pump.

If the ski is at a 60 or 70 degree angle the tray should be the highest place for the air bubbles to escape so it "should" work fine. But that is a LOT of labor for a trial. I might do it and just replace the tray with one thin layer of glass to see if it works then reinforce it and turf later.

Make sure it is towards the back of the pump cavity,my 300SX had it next to where the bilge line went through the hull,that thing cavitated so bad it was hardly ridable till i moved the exit out the rear of the ski.
