I know that this is like squeezing 10lbs of

into a 5lb bag, but I'm trying to make this work. As many know, I have been running a 750 motor in my 550 for the last 3 years. However, I'm trying to install a westcoast pipe to replace my old 650 pipe, but the coupler is rubbing the side of the hull. I've tried wedging a piece of hydroturf in between, but that's not happening without moving the motor over an 1/8".
Any suggestions on what to do? I'm worried that it will rub right through the glass. It has been reinforced for surf by Wilkey a few years back.
I'm thinking one more layer of biax in that area OR 2 layers of cloth OR a thin layer of rubber liner I have laying around OR just leaving it.
