Ski went in the water, ran normally and everything. Turned the ski off, wouldn't start again. Didn't turn, nothin...

Had to flush it out so I had to get it running. Checked the battery, it was good. Boots were good, the bilge worked, everything checked out okay. Then I switched the black/white connectors and connected them to my friends FX1.

He pushed the start button on his FX1 and my ski started right away.

I opened up my start/stop switch and it looks pretty clean in there. Tried starting it again, and it would fire up sometimes and then wouldn't start the others.

I'm assuming my start/stop switch is bad. Wanted to get some more take on this before I open up my thin wallet. Thanks in advance guys...

I had that problem, turned out that my stop switch (red button) would stick in the STOP position. Take your stop switch apart (ie. unscrew the cover with the rubber cap) and make sure the button isn't sticking in the down position. If it is, take it apart, clean it, add some sparkplug grease and put it back together.

The Black White wires are for the stop circut. Both the start and stop switches go thru the lanyard button. Sometimes you can take that apart and clean it up and it will last a while longer but if the rubber cap is cracked its just letting water into the contact area.

I have used that liquid electrical tape to seal the cracks and have stretched the switches another season but it really sucks when they act up again.

I had all mine sent to JSS last year and they work great for half the price of new.
