Had a solenoid that worked imtermitely, click click click fire click click fire...you get the idea. So I know the starter is oem and good, battery is good, I replaced the solenoid tonight with a brand new oem and I have absolutely nothing. Jump it and it works, switch wires still nothing, I have power to it, any ideas?

Simple things, make sure all connections are clean and tight. Check the connection between the stator wiring and ebox at the cap on top of ebox. Check start stop plug, they can get corroded.

I cleaned the switches internally in the start/stop switch, I am guessing it is a loose connection in the ebox which I will open back up tonight. Is there supposed to be a ground from the ebox to the motor, like the old 550s had?

I would just run one from the battery to the solenoid on the ground. Then you can rule out a bad ground if it doesn't fix the problem.

Ok here’s what I’m working with. I noticed I pinched the new solenoid wire so I repaired it, not the issue....

So, I noticed the cdi has been rigged (which I want to fix regardless) and it has a 750 regulator.

I think I need to find another box or re-wire this one.

Also noticed my start/stop wires are all taped up which maybe there could be a break somewhere.....ugh!

Found it!!!

More investigation found that it’s the start/stop switches! Plugged in a different switch and I have power!

Search discovered this horrifying piece of work, twisted and taped, from a prior owner....time to spend some money on a switch assembly!
