Depends on how much your paying for the ebox, you'll need a 62t flywheel for the ATP epic. The coil is compatible as well as the Msd coil. But you will still need the starting relay, and wiring in and out of the box, I'd say best to by a semi to all complete box if you can, and I do believe the epic 3 are all back ordered at this time, that being said if you want to ride now.. Get the complete ebox now and swap the epic when you can

On the MSD coil I'd prolly pass on it. I put the msd coil with an msd enhancer and it sucked big ones, developed an intermit ant misfire under random amounts of load within the first outing on the water, worked for like an hour then missing, spark voltage was leaking out the wires if any water was in the area too. I bought another one same issue, so next I got an OE coil and problem solved.
The OE has solid wire in the high tension wires.
I have the HX3 now and love it, I run an OE coil, Airtime Recommends "HX3 for use with new not refurbished OE coil".
Also the HX3 is designed to work with the OE flywheels magnetic signature so a lightened #Zero flywheel is an affordable option that works if you want a lightened wheel.
Later I noticed new and improved MSD coils being offered, not sure which one mine are but I wouldn't chance it OE is cheaper and more reliable and works better is my experience.

Edit: I am using a JSS coil now and it's works great as well

One thing I should mention is the JSS coil is an OE with modified wires & coverings. Basically OE coil that are refurbished or new with a high tension wire & covering mod I do believe. I'll take a picture of mine and post in a bit
