Dual Mikuni 46 mm

I have a 46 mm mikuni that shows some wear in the barrel where the plates viberated side to side , can this be machined out and bigger plates installed ??? or are they trash when worn , any help appreciated/ its just a spare set i have on the shelf

I just replace the throttle plates, the wear in the housing is negligible

Yep, just get a shaft & throttle plate rebuild kit. You will probably have to cut the shafts to get the old plates out because they usually won't slide out due to the beat up edges. Use red loctite on the new plate screws and peen the back sides so they won't back out and trash your engine. Finally make sure there is minimal side to side play so the new plates will not wear out too soon like the old ones.
