Dual Cooling with a SN pump

My pump has the big honking fitting for the original stock bilge, can post pics if needed. Has anyone ever tapped the hole, added a bushing then installed a 90* fitting? Or should I just drill and tap a new hole close to the huge one?

Does that make any sense?

You can get the brass 90 fitting that fits in there pretty snug and ruff up inside the little tube on the pump, clean it up with acetone or laquer thinner, put JB on the fitting then screw it in and let dry overnight. i just ddid one that way and its been working fine. No drilling/tapping necessary!
My last pump I had it welded closed then tap it. I save money this time and it works great.
