i have never owned duals, im considering buying some 44s. I was courious though, when tuning the duals do you make the low and high speed screw settings match one another (turns out)? same jets in each carb as well? this may be an obvious answer but I want some confirmation

Same settings, same jetting.

Sitdowns can have slightly fatter jetting in the rear cylinder.

I should clarify - you need to verify certain settings.

First, make sure both carburetors are the same models. There are plenty different 44's out there, for example, with different internal fuel passages.
Always measure popoff with a gauge in both carbs, make sure they are dead-on even in popoff pressure.

Make sure that the high and low speed adjusters are the same thread pitch in both carbs. There's fine thread and regular thread. If you have identical carbs (You must!), this should a non-issue.

Just set high and low adjusters to the same turns.
Jetting numbers need to be the same, no verification needed.
