Dual 47 Full Spectrums ??

These carbs came with a boat and ran fairly well...but im just a surf rider and think they are overkill. I know what they are worth and of very high quality, but just cant quite get them in tune right. I can not get a hold of Ed either at the phone number listed on his site.
Currently they are setup as follows:
122.5 low
132.5 high
18 psi pop off
remote fuel pump
#60 on the retun line
R&D intake mani w/ angle spacer
R&D reed cages w/ carbon reeds
200 psi fresh motor

WHY are these so hard to get in tune? Any help would be great!!!

Popoff sounds too low.

His duals should run 1.8 N&S, for about 24psi popoff. I think.
You need to talk to Ed.

Ed's carbs shove tons of CFM at full throttle but they are temperamental at partial throttle settings, and this is only my opinion as I have owned and attempted to tune a set, because their partial throttle signal characteristics are poor.

They like to dump fuel, not deliver it.

That's what I thought the entire two weeks I was trying to tune them on my own.
I finally talked to him, got settings from him, and then they ran 100% from the get-go. Identical jetting on two identical carbs on two very different motors.
