Dry Pipes... how hot to run?

This is my first time using a true dry pipe.

After a good half hour of riding then coming in, how hot should the main chamber feel is the touch?

Mine is like barely warm! The pipe that goes from the stinger end of the chamber to the port out the back is pretty warm to the touch, but not hot enough that makes me not want to touch it. :pokey:

Ski runs like a champ at the moment, worth running a little hotter some how? Can never have to much bottom end!

Thanks.

Because there is a water jacket the outside of the pipe stays much cooler than the inside. It's not likely you can actually run that pipe hotter (on the inside) because there isn't any water in there to begin with.

A restrictor in the stinger would heat it up. Factory pipe used to sell them for the 1200 triples if you were running an a/m waterbox(less back-pressure so pipe would run too cold without restrictor)
