I guess I will start....

I am hoping to lose another 15 lbs by Daytona...already down 15 or so in the last 4 weeks!!! 3 weeks ago I was down 4 inches and I will measure again next week.

I will not be posting my weight :wall: I don't tell anyone that!

Beer is the main thing standing in my way:Banane36:

Got to drop 10# for Daytona(my REV hull is not as light as I had hoped ha ha). Not going to be easy in winter months especially with the holidays GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! But its gotta go.
This will be tough since I coming off the summer down 20# from last winter.
I will post up my slow azz progress on Friday afternoons and hope others do the same to keep me motivated.
Currently 5'11.5" tipping the scales @ 180# on 11-6-07
Goal 1.5# per week average.

I will help keep you guys motivated. But i don't think i will be down for the ride. 970 miles and 14 1/2 hours of driving.
Weight today 177 with clothes on at work after eating breakfast

yours too? dam i hate that! every 12 feet!!! argh...... and then the dry-heaving-peeing... there's nothing left!! stop stopping and lifting your legs! arg.

yup....what's bad is Lucy lifts her leg too...so lady like.

The beagles are on a diet too so we are all working together.

Garrett has lost 9 lbs just from eating a healthier dinner....he isn't doing anything else. You men tick me off...you can lose weight like nobody's business! NOT FAIR!!

I'm currently 181lbs and this is the heaviest I've EVER been in my life. I average 170lbs but I'm going to shoot for 165lbs. I was 165lb when I was in full training on MTB back in 2006 so I just need to suck it up.

I do not drink beer but I have a huge weakness for chocolate/gnutella, pasta, alborio rice and artisan italian bread!! (can you guess where I grew up)

The HIV is awesome when it comes to dropping gut. I prefer crystal meth. The only bad thing is my teeth are fu**ed up....

Emily-
I found the best way is to have a bet with some people. I did it with a few guys at work. We each put in 50 bucks and had six weeks to loose as much as we could. I won by tipping the scales at 203.5 from 229. That was two weeks ago. Never felt better and I can run forever right now. I did climb back up to 211, but that is still 18 pounds down and I have 150 more dollars in my pocket. I did it mostly by just eating hard boiled aggs and grilled chicken. Cut out all soda and beer (switched to Vodka / sugar free red bull's). And I ran alot. Sherry wants to start also. Tell Garret he looks fat and maybe he'll do it with you.

Ohh god, I'm glad that I'm not the only one needing to lose a few tires around the mid-section.... I'm starting tomorrow, I'll post the weight after I break the scales at the gym..

I have done the hard-boiled egg w/ chicken and no soda deal.. It does work..... And that is what I will be on again.
Love the smell of the new farts at night.. Yummmy..

Sherry doesn't need to lose weight! That woman is already gorgeous!

My daily diet consists of half cup of rice krispies w/ skim milk and a half banana for b'fast....carb (usually brown rice or small sweet potato), a veggie, and yogurt for lunch....apple for snack between b'fast and lunch and then chicken/fish, carb, and a veggie for dinner. It's all based on the glycemic index. My blood sugar was all out of whack before....it's all good now. Also taking vitamin, chromium (helps regulate blood sugar) and calcium daily. Also have a few other little tricks but those are a secret...haha:wink: I can't eat eggs...so that cuts out that...and if I eat too much protein I get a damn kidney stone. I was on the Atkins diet a few years ago and it almost killed me--nothing says Merry Christmas like a kidney stone!! :grumble: I also lost a lot of my hair.(not in clumps or anything...just thinned it out a lot):bigeyes2:

This fat kid does not run....it kills my knees but I walk so fast it's like a slow jog. I had to walk in the dark tonight but I still got it in. I carried a flashlight and cranked up Stephen Marley so I couldn't hear the creatures in the woods (we have wild boar, bears, gators, and panthers around these parts)

Garrett has actually been very supportive...except when he was eating that dang chocolate cake in front of me last night! He isn't walking with me cause he is too busy tinkering around on his ski. He is eating a lot better...just not as strict as I am.

I have managed to cut back my beer to maybe 2 a week(or less). I had two in one night last week and I was buzzed...I'm losing my tolerance...a cheap date now.:wiggle: It's tough...cause our neighbors drink like fish..and we have a party this weekend..but if it comes down to it ..I will just take a shot of tequila and enjoy myself :cool2:

Oh great...now this

Modestly Overweight Linked To Lower Death Risk

Does this mean I can gain 20lbs and attempt tripple back-flips without a helmet and foot-holds?

and in two weeks someone else will say the opposite

I think those peeps just jump to conclusions now and announce it without really doing any research.

Every day I learn something else that will give me cancer...or cause some other problem or disease.

ever seen this one? http://www.milksucks.com/beersurvey.asp

PETA wants you to drink beer instead of milk

I was bad last night and broke my diet to enjoy a cold beer....a Shipyard pumpkin ale....oh man was it worth every savory sip!

I need to lose weight myself and have known this for almost a year now. I am 5' 10.5" and weight 225 lbs. I used to be in the 165 - 175 lbs range and would love to be back at 175 lbs. But slowly some how I packed the weight on over a year's time. I blame it on #1 poor eating habits and #2 I am not nearly as active as I used to be. I was eating all kinds of fast food, no fruits/veggies, gallons of soda, and even more alcohol. Then putting ranch, butter, and sugar on everything I ate. I am maintaining the same weight which is good that I am not gaining but I still have my gut and none of my old clothes fit. This website here helps to explain a lot of what you need to know about losing weight. Read his blogs for more info. Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week... looks like it will be a year before I get anywhere with a diet... great. I am also going to buy this software to help count calories. If i exercised some each day, then would cut back all unhealthy foods and eat a balanced diet of the correct number of calories each day, I would have this gut gone in no time. But when you sit at a desk all day, then come home and eat junk food and sit around watching TV, you get the point. I hope these sites help some of you. Be sure to read the first one, it is really insightful.

we were cooking everything in olive oil...which is very fattening...a healthy fat..but still very very fattening. I cook everything in chicken or beef stock now...the low sodium fat free stuff....it makes everything taste SO much better...and it's a lot healthier. Also a big fan of that I can't believe it's not butter spray...it tastes great.

We were also eating out constantly..cut that back to one day a week most weeks and even then I eat something healthy. I was a fast food fanatic....now I don't even want to look at fast food...it just doesn't satisfy me.
