Driveshaft/midshaft in a bob

My driveshaft sticks out about 2" from the bulkhead on my bob. Is that normal? The engine coupler butts up right next to the midshaft coupler and the plate holes aren't lining up. The midshaft that came with the hull is 7" long. The midshaft from my SN is 6.75" long. Should I use the SN midshaft? Does the driveshaft poking through at 2" make a difference?

Thanks

What about my midshaft? Should I use the one out of the SN? I feel like I've seen posts where that one womt work because it too short but the midshaft that came with the hull seems too long

my bob gen 1 had a bob specific shorter mid shaft..... idk if 2's have that or not.

and i believe SN midshafts are longer than rn arent they?

good god, this aint rocket science! if you used the pump out of a 90 - 2007 SJ, then thats how far the shaft sticks into the engine compartment. that BOB uses a 701 and bigger mid shaft housing. any SJ midshaft ever made is the right one. the midshaft may need to be pressed in or pressed out of the housing to get the gap between the couplers lined up when the motor mount holes have bolts in them.
