i have an engine assembled that needs a coupler. it has the crank that has the thin sleeve on the pto. i know that this requires the coupler that has the o-ring in the groove, but i dont have one. i only have the kind w/o the groove/oring that are for the cranks w/ the thick sleeve on the pto.
i made te mistake of assembling the grooveless coupler on a thin sleeved crank and the sleeve ate its way backwards through the coupler and i dont want to make that mistake again. i notice that none of the UMI couplers have orings... is that because theyre thick enough to stop the sleeve from backing out?
does anyone have any suggestions on successfully using the coupler that i already have on my crank?
