Draining water box

I swapped out my OEM water box on my waveblaster and wondering if there are any tips or tricks to getting the water out of it? Maybe try to reduce one hole somehow and hit it with compressed air? I've tried tilting it every which way but not much water comes out. Not a big deal but would like it mostly dry to store it.

Thanks!

Well usually you crank it up at the boat ramp and rev the engine a few times, then when you get home you do it again and most of thwe water will be out of the waterbox.

If the box was properly designed it will vavuum all the water off the bottom when you go full throttle. Aftermarket boxes are designed to make more noise with maybe a little attempt at increasing flow. Sometimes the internal pipes are too far off the bottom so the box wont completely drain. If it holds water then take the engine side hose off the box for long term storage. Having less back pressure may benefit the stock untuned Blaster/Superjet style exhaust. Any aftermarket pipe needs some and usually runs best with the stock box.
