Well, i'm off work today so i decided to go ahead and look for fun little things to do to the ski because well.... im bored
:woot:
So, my 1995 waveraider (701T) is gonna be my target for some things to do for cheap/free speed... if there is such a thing :haha:
So far, Solas impeller, Mikuni super 38 carbs (rejetted) K/N flame arrestors and a ride plate.
what i got into after taking a few things apart was my exhaust system, i've been wanting to save up for a Factory pipe or somethin to the like, but i', slightly reluctant to blow 300+ for a used one on egay or w/e.
First i saw was the exhaust system after the pipe and this rubber hose that looks like an overglorified radiator hose :Banane01: thats 9in diameter and about 2 1/2 to 3ft long... that could be replaced by something like mandrel bent intercooler piping (leftover from what i used on my 1995 eclipse GSX) that i could use that might give an extra bit of oomph on the ski (since i believe rubber wouldnt be the best material ever to make exhaust from
So any ideas on some things i could do to this bike to get me from 55-56 mph to maybe closer to 58mph? or higher :arms:
this is my everyday ski since its a yami and its been far more reliable than my sea doo XP (and a little bit more fun since it isnt as big)
Drop me a few hints/tips/tricks on what to do to gain a few mph on the 'ol yami hammer
cause we all gotta have more :brap:
