Dont know where I should exactly put this, so i'll put it here for all to see and if it needs to be moved, please do so..

This guy had a cylinder from a Waveraider for sale on Ebay. I messaged him through ebay and asked him what the casting mark was. He messages back 61X. Ok, cool i thought. Then i messaged him again and asked him what the shipping would be because on his listing he says $25.99 and that the shipping calculator is broken and to ask. He replies back $17 for shipping........... alright then...

There was like 10 hours to go early this morning and i was going to bid on it later in the day. Then all of a sudden the listing was gone.
I then get a email from him(not through Ebay), saying "hi, i just wanted to let you know that ebay pulled the cylinder for that yamaha engine. i dont know if you were going to bid on it or not but i just wanted to let you know that i relisted it - thanks, Don" :deal:

I thought that was really weird, so I found the new relisisting and it had one bid of 9.99 and then i looked at the bidder history and found this:

s***1( 8 )

Item description: 1996 Yamaha 700 Wave Raider, cylinder, jugs, cylinders

The dude is shell bidding on his own shiat!

Well maybe i am wrong.. What do you think? Maybe i'm jumping the gun here. I sent him kind of a nasty email a bit ago calling him a scammer..lol
He just sent me this through email:

"im not sure what your trying to say. but I have the bidders ID since im the seller and its kris1917 . if you can look at their feedback they have never bought anything from me. yes they did bid on some of the other 700 yamaha parts. AND I DID SOME CHECKING ... and the reason ebay canceled a couple of my auctions is because they mis-read them and thought I was "Circumvention of eBay Fees " because what it said about the buyer paying the paypal fees.

ive been on ebay for over 7 years now. im not all the sudden going to start scamming people. look at my completed auctions. theres a guy who won almost 10 of the 700 yamaha parts. was he a scammer too? theres is about 5 people that won 3-6 Seadoo parts apiece. when you strip a whole jet ski out that’s generally what people do, they bid on more than 1 item. especially when every single item starts off under $10. "A stator for $8, what hell ill bid on that too"

maybe next time you can ask a question before you flip the F out on someone. I was trying to be nice and inform you about it in case you really needed it or something. heck I would have ended it for you if you needed it sooner. when I emailed you there was not a bid on it(or I didn’t know about it)

Don"

I just bought complete 61x electrics from him, and my wife is supposed to meet his wife in town this week for the exchange of money/parts.
Anything you'd like me to do/say?
I have her phone number. Her name is Misty.

No, actually I might be wrong. Just thought it was weird that Ebay would pull his listing at the last hour. Let me know how the transaction goes i guess.

ebay deleted his auction because he is passing on the paypal fees to the buyers. thats against ebay rules. not sure why they didnt delete all of his auctions.

Hmm, I didnt know that was a ebay rule..

I dont think that saying the buyer should pay the paypal fees should be against ebay rules but hey I dont make the rules..just try to go by them.
I jumped to a conclusion and looked like a dork...lol
Oh well.

i never really understood the ebay buyer's percentage thing.it almost always looks like shill bidding but then i ain't the deepest socket in the tool box either!:tapedshut:
looks like that seller is legit however.
i think it's smart of you to be careful especially when ebay pulls an auction but you might 've jumped the gun a wee bit.
you might want to edit your initial post now to be fair.

Ok, now the guy who only bids 100% of the time on this sellers auction(stuff -n-everyting) has retracted his bid now on the cylinders. I am still leary of this seller...

I think he's a shell bidding cheap skate. He wants peeps to pay for ebay fees(nothing wrong with that IMO), and he starts his auctions real low so as not to pay a bigger insertion fee. With a shell bidder, he can start his auctions off dirt cheap and not worry about his part going for a low price because he has the shell bidder. Also this way he doesnt have to make a reserve either.
Sketchy dude IMO...

Ok, also another thing that bugs me now that I'm paying more attention:

This seller dude said this in a email to me:
"im not sure what your trying to say. but I have the bidders ID since im the seller and its kris1917."

Well that does not coincide with what i looked up on the only bidder at the time which is s***1( 8 ).
Not even close!

I'm raising the big flag now!:bsflag:

Speak up ,don't kiss azz
The only person that see's the real bidders name is the seller and yes the first and last letters you see are fake and generated by Ebay .They do this so others potential buyers or sellers can't contact bidders and make other offers or direct the bidders to other auctions .

but what about the first and last letters that I see? or is that all ficticious too? and where do i find that info to make sure its true? (if you happen to know).

What Hangtime said is true. We will see because I bought something from this guy and I will see how he acts during the transactions.
Keep an eye on the 61X cases that he auctioned off for 51 bucks. Thats a great deal, I bid 50 and got outbid and they went for 51. If they show back up on auction would think Superjet1113 is correct about the guy. As far as retracts I dont know, I havent been hound doging the guy.

Hi guys
Just to let you know, I got the cases and some misc stuff.
The guy seems up and up. We will see.
Twas a good deal on the cases, should be fun doing a real buildup.
I have one summer on a sn 90 with a transfer std 701 engine. Addicting!
I am ready to build a better engine and do some fiberglassing for some foot holds.

Soo many choices and options to build the engine.

I hope Superjet113 got the cylinder, if he still wanted it.
