Doh no spark ! !

Mates stock Blaster stopped, no spark. Any ideas on the likely, most common cause before i get chance to look at it?

Most common to me is the stop button circuit shorted in the wiring connector.

if itl's like my fishing bote that I was working on over the weekend - plug in the kill switch! :biggrin:

j/k - like Jett said, check the s/s switch

there are two wire sets coming out of the switch: black/white and red/brown

unplug the black/white and try to start it.

if it fires up, you need to clean or replace your switch

There are only 2 things I've ever had to fix on my Yamaha's for no spark:

1. start/stop switch (although usually when this goes bad it stops turning over).

2. CDI box.

usually I can beat the start/stop switch around a bit and it'll start working again.
