SX/SXi/SXi Pro does the 650sx need the stock fuel pump?

my buddy want to get rid of the switch and everything else he doesnt need in order to clean up the engine compartment. its bone stock

Yes, you need it. The only way to get rid of it is to run a carb with an intergal fuel pump like an sbn Mikuni. 44 sbn's make a huge improvement over stock.
