Does Anyone Ski With Orthopedic Lifts?

Tim

Ok, so the Dr told me yesterday how well I am doing. Adjusted my leg brace another 10 degrees so now I can bend 40 degrees (still no weight on it). Then we discuss how the leg is now longer (due to the straightening / unload) and I will have to have a lift to make up the diff.
So the question is - is it possible to ski with a 13 - 15 mm lift in one shoe? Inquiring minds want to know.

TIA

ICE, is that like shaving your leg? EEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Matt, do you use lifts in your shoes ? If so, are they external or external? Also, how thick?

Thanks,
Tim

Wow, Tim---if anyone can overcome this, I know you can. :Banane01:

Was this something that you were advised of before your surgery or did this just come up based on your last visit? I didn't realize that you were going to go thru this in addition to the surgery and rehab.

Tim - I don't use lifts, no. I figured the underpadding may be able to solve at least some of the height difference, but I really do not know.

LOL, funny $h1T Pre. I love that Seinfeld episode.

Matt, that sounds like a good idea. I will try it if I cannot work out sumpin' with the lift.

You know the old saying Chic, just when you think it can't get any worse .... LOL. Dr actually mentioned it a couple of visits ago, I chose not to believe there was going to be much difference. Wrong. So when I am able to put weight on it I'll have to be fitted for an orthopedic lift.
I was told that if the difference is less than 12 mm, then I can have a lift placed under my heel. If more than 12mm ?
BUMMER.
