No, just make sure you sand it down really good and scuff it up. Take of all the shine from the paint.

The contact cement lifted the paint just like paint remover and made a big mess, I scraped it off then ground it all down to SMC and gelcoat. All is good now. PITA!!!!! I should have masked that area off before spraying.

I had the same problem at one time... It will do the same thing it you try to lay fiberglass over the stock paint (roughed up of course) but that paint will barely hold itself on not alone anything else. Take it down to fiberglass, SMC what ever is under there. Eliminate the middle man go straight to the sorce

I had the same thing happen to me. Man that sucked. I was told that if you let the paint cure longer that it would not do it, but next time I'm masking it off!!
