All they do is clog up if you ride ocean and ride where there's a lot of sand ,so ya there useless.

I use on on flatwater but like he said around sand its pretty useless.

Yeah, I have a bilge...that strainer is in the trash...
what about the filter? what is that used for? seems like a random hose...from the lower inside of pole to gas tank?
