DIY carbon pole

What's the best covering/top coat to wrap a stock pole with CF? i've been looking at a couple of threads, but don't have it nailed down as what's the best route?

I dont know what type of carbon fiber to use... maybe just some 7oz 2x2 twill? But I do remember reading you should apply a UV protecting clear coat after you are done...

on the last layer use aluzine(sp?) clear epoxy

IM curious about this too, I would like to do it.

I was told a while back its VERY hard to make it look good.
I guess I need to get some and play with it.

I'm getting ready to do one in a yellow/black kevlar/carbon weave. Should look sweet! I'll post up some pics when I'm done.

Based on my knowledge of DIY visual Carbon, the only way to do it right is to have a mold. I've never seen a wrap job come out looking right. If you can do it, good on ya.
