Alright, I know I need to defoam my superjet. I have read most of the threads on defoaming, but still have a few questions, before I start cutting into my ski. My first question is, can I just cut the whole tray out in one piece and then fiberglass it all back in after I put the new foam in? I would also add a few extra layers of glass to beef it up. My Second question is, can I just use the pink sheet foam that doesn't absorb water and not have to use any expandable foam that does absorb water? Or do I need to use some expandable foam to fill in the gaps and to add more structural rigidity. I also plan on adding drain plugs.
