Defoaming SN- How much tray to cut?

Searched already. Some cut out the whole tray.
Others made an access panel, maybe 12 inches by 12 inches at the front of the tray.
What works best?
Any good pix?

i cut out the holds and a square in the front of the tray.

if you use the 2 inch wire wheel it takes a few minutes. vacuum up the junk and goto town with a crowbar or a putty knife.

well looks like it is time for more cutting.

foam below the deck is definitely soaked!

once all the foam was out i filled in the bondline with 404 thickened epoxy.

i had a leak in the back corner of the ski, and the front where the firewall was i had a 2 inch section where there was no glue.

if you plan on rolling i would reinforce the back while your at it.

i remember people cracking the back corners from incomplete rolls.

Look at all that heavy green glue that is just waiting to get torn out.

depends on how much work you wanna do and how much easier you wanna make it.

i did a little hole on my SN and the entire tray on my RN
