To keep it short
I am used to work on yamaha and kawasaki this is new to me
On the picture is a rotor cover/manifold of a 657 650cc seadoo engine it feels and looks like the rotor plate has digged it self into. The top cover for about 0,7 mm and left a upstanding ledge .
In my opinion this cover is totalled becausr of blowby. The question is am i correct or can it be fixxed engine side is still perfect

The biggest issue is the rotary valve clearance which is going to be excessive on this one for sure, the cover can be machined to get it back in spec but not every machine shop can do it. It is a three step process of machining the face of the cover then machining the flange and the o-ring groove,.

There are plenty of used 657 rotary valve covers out there that are in much better shape than that one, I probably have a few of them on the shelf as not many people still run or repair 657's.

Any cover you put on it will still have to be checked for proper clearance.
