Dead battery

Hey, Guys

I had my battery go dead on me about 3 weeks ago (new this year). So I put my other new one in the boat, and everything was fine. Now today the battery went dead on me? These are two new batteries this year.

I didn't think it was the charging system,(stator) because the boat ran fine for 3 weeks. I am not sure, but if the charging system wasn't working properly, I would guess the motor would not run very long.

I was wondering, if the starter was going south, it would draw alot more power from the battery, and cause it to go almost dead. Not alowing the charging system to catch up? I do start my machine alot when out riding.

Any ideas?

Before you go on a witch hunt I would take both batteries to your local Auto Zone/ Discount Autoparts and have them check the batteries.
They might have a damaged cell or 2 and even though your charging system is giving them enough juice the batteries might have a hard time storing it.

I used to kill a walmart battery every few months in my couch, they don't seem to like vibrations, impacts or hard landings.

Ahhh,

Okay, this may get a little confusing?? 3 weeks ago, I was out riding, and the battery didn't have enough juice to turn over the motor. So, I took the new battery that I just bought for my blaster, put it in the sj and everything was fine. I charged the dead battery, and it seemed to hold a charge. I checked it with a multi meter 2 days after full charge. I put it in the blaster, and it has sat there for 3 weeks. Today, I took it out and put it in the sj and it has lots of juice.

I will get these batteries checked, but this seems a little wierd? I am just learning, but I have been doing subs and 180 nose stabs, maybe these batteries are garbage?

What kind of battery do you use? How long does it last?
