Cylinder difference/dome sizes

I just picked up a 62t cylinder (off a raider?) for my RN...............

What is the difference from the RN 61x cylinder?

What is the compatibility of this cylinder with my RN cases? How about with a 93 B1 701?

Bore is at 83MM.................what domes do I need........701 or 760, and what size for around 185 psi (pump gas)?

i could be wrong, but i think im accurate:

the ports are def different. the 62t is more top end and the 61x has better low ports. it will bolt right on. the ex man bolts are bigger on T, if using an X man, just drill the holes bigger. if you want to get carried away install the man with the head off and match the ports. good luck

all of the 62t raider cylinders that I have messed with ( 5 of them) had exhuast port timing that was so close to 61x cylinders that I think they have the same sleeves in them.

they suck though, throw it away, want my address?

Thats what I was hoping..........

Does the bigger bore affect comp..........more or less?

Porting will generally lower comp, correct?

Yes a bigger bore will raise the cranking pressure, if you raise the exhaust ports it will lower the cranking pressure, but depending on how you calculate compression ratio it may or may not effect these numbers.

Those cylinders were ported from Group K, I think the hammer porting. With 31cc domes it was ran on pump gas 180ish comp. Like I said in the ad the top center two exhaust man. threads on the cylinder are time certs for 8mm bolt so all you have to do is drill the other six bolt holes on the manifold to 10mm to match the rest of the threads, and you have a 61x FP manifold on 62t cylinders. Here they are.

Totally missed your compression info...............thanks for reminding me.........

Just have to decide where to put it .....SJ or B1?
