Cutting wetsuit?!

I have either a 5 or a 7MM wetsuit. It's so tight on my forearms that I can't ride for more than 5 minutes and I can't even pull the throttle anymore because it's so tight. Can I cut it or slice it for more room? If I cut it to be more like a short sleeve shorty it wont work exactly the same, but it shouldn't matter that much right? Anyone done this before?

get a good surf suit and be done with it..

I think you can definately cut it into a shorty, but you will have to roll and stitch the area that you cut for durability.

Have a tailor cut it. They can turn it into short sleeves for sure, and finish the edges so it doesn't unstitch.

They are easy to sew, I have a lot of patches on mine and even sewed rubber knee pads on Katie's I use furniture thread from Wal-Mart.
