cut long hose for a/m waterbox?

I am putting a B pipe and an aluminum waterbox in my SN
seems like the box outlet extends further to the right than oem
so I need to cut a few inches off the long exhaust hose.
Anyone else run into this?

I've been forced to cut my long exhaust hose for other reasons like it wore out and split. As long as it fits, what's the harm?
