Custom Bed rack for two ski's?

I want to build a custom bed rack that will fit two jetski's. Aluminum Checkerplate bed cover with removeable bunks and a roller ramp of some sort for launching onto a bigfoot trailer or directly into freshwater. Winch to get back on the truck.

I know there used to be a few basic models on the market. any ideas as to what to search? I'm sure my vision would be way to expensive to have built and i currently do not have the tools to do it myself.

i know it's alot of work but, a flat bed made out of 2x2 steel would be the best bet. take your bed off and make a flat bed that will hold two or even three ski's. for three i would put two on top and one on the hitch. three on top might be too wide, at least for my likings

3's easy too
Is that on a toyota of full size truck?

I have a sled deck I use that is 8' wide and would take 3 skis with plenty of room for gear underneath. a shortbox version has an angled beavertail that the loading ramp hitches to. Add bunks and a proper ramp and you're set.

I just want a clean setup for 2 ski's, unobtrusive and simple.

Nice sled! Havent rode a REV yet i take it?

LOL, No because I'd own one if I did right?

Actually I've ridden a few but that big red POS under the sled cost me so much money in repairs and maintenance that it sucked up my REV fund and then some for two years. In the end I just didn't sled enough to justify the cost of a new one. Now I live in South Carolina and don't need one. :)

I will post up a pic of my ski rack sometime ,it is made of steel,it hasn't been painted and it looks like ass because of surface rust but you can get a general idea of the construction. It is on my to do list this winter.

I rigged this up for special trip a few years ago. The problem I have is that I am a perfectionist and I want it all. Function and form with minimal sacrifice. I want to replace the fuel tank in this picture with a dry box but I would't be able to access it anytime.

Here are my current parameters. Hold two skis, have full bed storage or unrestricted access to a Job Box, launch and recover skis quick and easy, close the tailgate, and look great.

I've got a scaled down version of my sled deck running around my head that should work out pretty good.

They handle different too. I bought my fiance a 2007 Yamaha Phazer mountain lite for last winter and it handled awesome. It has the same forward riding stance and balance. I was going to turbo it but it would have been about the same money as just buying a REV and the REV is another 100lbs lighter.

I sold both my sleds before I moved. If and when I ever get back into sledding I'll be riding a REV 151" with a 900cc Crankshop Engine and twin pipe.
