cracked my b-pipe manifold

little carnage. As you can see in the pic I was battling with a exhaust leak for a while and it would just gunk up the outside of the motor. The leak finally gave up its location big time. I kept thinking the PV gaskets were leaking for some reason. I am to blame for this blow up. I bored the manifold out to 48 or 49mm :brap: made good power up until this point though :highhorse:

thanks, but I might end up building my 927 motor this winter and may try to sell my lamey set up

your not using the o-ring springs on the bellows are you?

Yes, why?

That's why I don't care much for the powervalves!

I am still a big fan of PV motors, just not busting manifolds. Sucks also b/c this motor was running good. I planned on doing some more intake modifications to increase the incomming air velocity and add MSD TL. The ski could do just about anything you want it to and do it well, those mods would have just been that extra little bit. if malone comes out with a new pipe I may try that instead of the b-pipe.

The o-rings springs suck, if the springs are not brand new then you will leak oil from them. Do yourself a favor go get some .50mm wire and use that. First take the bellows off clean them up first then use the wire in place of the spring o-ring. You will NEVER see oil again from them

Edit: don't go too tight when twisting the wire you have the chance to cut into the bellow, also .50mm is the biggest .40mm-.50mm would be a good ballpark but don't go bigger then .50mm because the wire will not fit in the groove.

you might also call pat and/or chucky and ask them if they'll have anything you might be able to use in the near future?

I have time. I think my season is over on that note. :blackeye: Ideally I would like to try a pipe that clears or avoids the PV's all together. The manifold was hogged out pretty good but it worked well for the whole season before it let go. The EME that routes off to the side of the motor would be a nice set up IMO. Plus I already run a kart tank which will have to be used with the EME pipe. It is just a matter of getting one of those pipes.

That's not that bad, at least you didn't crack into the water jacket area.

Send it to Tom; he's good at welding aluminum and machining the surfaces.

You'll never purchase a new manifold from FP because they're on intergalactic backorder unless you want to buy the whole setup.
