coupler spacing...

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
Factory manual shows a tollerance between couplers as (.079-.157 in)

My spacing was about 1/4-3/8" when I put my engine back in... I thought this was strange, so I used some clamps and managed to pull the engine back to be within the manuals tollerance and then bolted it down... it is now at .130".

Is this spacing a good spacing to have for freestyle? When I got back in from the garage I decided to search around here to see if I could find out if anyone else ever ran into this issue... Now, after some reading I have read that maybe I was better off at the old spacing (about 1/4") for freestyle type riding. Should I unbolt it and reposition?

Thanks. -Eric

1/4 is a good gap.

Should I unbolt the engine and move forward to 1/4 then?

Is 1/4" better than what the manual says because it allows a little more play so the couplers won't clash during big landings and such?

This is the only reason I could think why 1/4" would be better.... am I thinking right here?
