went riding today to test the new footholds. well they are fn awesome. i can do subs no problem, and i had never done one before. big thanks to matt e for the help with the low speed tuning, it worked out great. after riding for a while, i did a couple of full throttle runs on the way back to the ramp, as i was almost there, my engine would bog down if i let off the throttle and then punched it... this only happened after a wot run for an extended period. i know the simple answer is to just not do wot runs, i will not be anymore bc im abt to advance the timing, but was just courious as to what would cause that. also if i cruise around at a steady 1/4-1/2 throttle for a while, then go to punch it it seems like there is excess fuel that needs to burn off, after the initial bog, it no longer does it unless i ride at a constant throttle for a while again.

i just read about that in the Mikuni manual. look at page 23 for more details but basically your carb has excess fuel in it because the fuel pump is pushing hard at high rpm's but there is little to no use of the fuel (as you decelerate). the solution is to run an additional anti siphon valve.
