Could they be more specific?

When they say 87% of impeller life left, I wish they'd be more specific. There's quite a difference between 87.1% and 87.9%.

1 1986 JS 550 - rebuilt motor mounts, electrical system, and fuel system carbureator cleaned and rebuilt). Impeller has 87% of its life left.
1- 1988 JS500 - rebuilt motor mounts, electrical system, and fuel system (carbureator cleaned and rebuilt). Impeller has 93% of its life left.

Both steering systems have been reworked and are in good condition

The 86 was orginally owned by my grandfather - we maintained the ski's after every use on Grand Lake in Oklahoma by greasing all grease points after every ride.

The 88 was originally owned by the next door neighbor at the lake- I bought is from them in 2003. It has little use since they had two seadoo's and a SX650. I greased its points after every use as well.

The hulls have the original graphics and paint. The hulls and covers are great shape and have a few nicks and dings but do not leak.

They have both been meticuloulsy maintained and cared for. They have not been mechanically been rebult as far the engines or drives.

Two gel batteries, trailer, and one battery charger/maintainer come with them. I started them this weekend - 04-18-2010.

I have both titles to the ski's. Trailer was built in a home shop but can be licensed in Texas.

I moved here from Colorado and have current registration for them both.

Yeah I saw this add. Is there such a thing as impeller life?

I guess it could be calculated- but it would be a combination impeller/wear ring life. You could measure the cleareance and come up with a percentage based on maximum clearance listed in the shop manual.

hey, when you are asking $2250 for a pair of 550s
you REALLY gotta know your stuff :ugh2:

I know...I just rebuilt the motor mounts in my 550 and it was well over $4000 just to do that. This package is a real bargain if you ask me.

Also thinking about mechanically rebulting my motor when I come up with some extra cash.
