Corolla, NC (OBX) riding while on vacation. Where?

I'll be on vaca in Corolla, NC the last week in August. Where do people ride down there?

Sorry, no one has answered. I have not visited there in over 20 years. At that time you'd follow rt 12, the beach road all the way to the end- towards Corolla light, then drive onto the beach- helps to have 4 wdr - and frolick in the surf with your ski. Alternately , further south, make a deal with a pwc rental co on the sound to let you launch from their facilities.

Ya, i wonder if the rules have changed. the internets say you aren't allowed to run a PWC on any beaches (4wd beaches included) in corolla. There is one public ramp on the bay side apparently at "whaleland" . Launching on the beach would be friggin' amazing though!

We were just on Ocracoke Island last weekend and we had the same question. I found a website that detailed the rules for PWC but it only highlighted a few places.
