750SX. Limited mod

A little too much water in engine compartment. Lost compression(90lbs/cylinder)
Do I need to rebore(and replace w/ oversized pistons) if existing pistons are in good shape? Or can I just replace rings, and hone (to get back to 170lbs.)

Our Jetski Dealer did the whole enchilada last time when the 650SX ingested, seemed alittle bit of overkill.

thanx, can't wait to get back into the water (40 degrees)

From what I hear, I'm lucky more damage didn't happen (seals/shattered piston,etc...)

Funny thing is it runs OK @ 90lbs.

Once a 2stroke ingests water, does it automatically mean a rebuild?

get another compression gauge and check it.
You may just have a bad gauge . . . . .
And if it runs OK- run her 'til she blows!!!!:Banane01:

You'll want to disassemble it and inspect the crank. Rods might be bent due to water ingestion, causing low compression (due to reduced stroke).
