There is a group of Midwest Jet Pilots heading to DeWitt Illinois this weekend, April 22th-24th, to Jet Ski!
The water body is Clinton Lake, which is a cooling pond for a nuclear power plant(it's not radioactive!). The lake is divided into two parts. One side is considered hot, the other cold. The hot side opens up April 1st. The water coming out of the power plant is 90+ degrees and cools as it heads south around the horseshoe of the lake.
Clinton Lake is a recreational area, so it provides everything you need for camping, swimming, fishing, etc, and of course JET SKIING!

The group has started to reserve camp sites on Loop G. I have site 3 Friday and Saturday myself. Reservations shouldn't be necessary due to the time of year.

Camping is $20/night for a site that includes electric and up to 4 adults/2 cars.

Loop G is near a side beach where we can park our skis. Once the skis are in for the day, you can park your vehicle at your campsite and be within a walking distance of the skis and beach spot.
