Super Jet Chin pad foam wet

Just got all my goodies in from Blowsion along with a new glue on pad cover. my oem one was still wet from last summer. thinking of drilling some ½” or ¾” holes in the plastic to help it dry out so it doesn't un-glue in the future. Think that’s a good idea?

sell the cover...tear off heavy wet pad that there is no cure for and turf over plastic chin pad, works great !

OR ... tear off the wet foam and throw in trash, and glue new foam on your pad. and then install your new cover... I seriously doubt you will be able to dry that foam out

Here's a pic of mine. It's the stock plastic turfed...foam has gone away.

No foam here either just turf. Pole is weightless and floats on its own.

That could explain why mine felt heavy even with aftermarket spring. Foam-less it is, Jonas just hooked me up with some leftover turf from his build, good to go now…

that looks good . I have never tried turf over a stock pad. which is why I recommended adding underpad. I always make a new fiberglass chinpad, and turf that.

The stock plastic is pretty tough to turf, but it will stick if you let it dry & paint it again with cement multiple times...And lots of heat for those curves and bends.

I managed. And I can't turf for beans!
