I went to install MSD boots and retainers and when trimming the ends back found about an inch of bad wire.:banghead: This along with the boots coming off regularly would explain a lot of misfire and vibration!!

I had the exact same thing a couple of months ago - ended up hacking almost two inches off till I got back to good wire! It ran a lot better when I put the MSD boots on! I can't believe it was running at all the state they were in....

This is a common prob with the stock 10 strand Yami plug wires. If the wires are broken too far back, I have a local guy who can replace the plug wires with high quality 20 strand wire. Lots cheaper than buying a new coil.. I run double wire holders on my head to reduce the vibration and wag on the wires. This along with the high quality wire greatly reduces the failure rate.
