JSS bulb broke after half a season for me. Nice concept, but I am back to plunger.

I had a problem last year with my limiting rope getting wraped around the plunger and bending it. I think the plunger from JSS would be worth a try for the price.

Did you have it in the tray where you could kick it? I have mine and Katie's under the hood because we never need them and they last a very long time but I guess anything does if it is not used. It’s all in the proper tuning.

the pumps im replacing are on my kawi 750 sitdowns, they live on a dock year round, out in the weather, and they have always been hard starting when cold.

my yamahas rarely need the primers pumped.

I did indeed have it in the tray, but not where it could be kicked. (I've got a weird older XFT/WCF hood that has a lip extending over the dash - it's installed under that lip)

I put my primer in between the fuel on/off and the hood latch. It seems to be fairly out of the way there versus where the stock choke was.
